Judicial vindicationof businessman for non-payment of social security contributions and unique legal precedent by the Administrative Court of First Instance of Rodopi. 

The Court decided to indefinitely suspend all enforcement measures by the Center for the Collection of Social Security Arrears (KEAO) for debts of 13,079.22 euros. This is a milestone decision, since it is the first to be issued in Greece and already constitutes a model for any judicial claims in Courts of First Instance of professionals with debts to security funds that seek the protection of Justice.  

The businessman from Komotini, a husband and a father, has been running a shop in the city for many years and paying for his financial obligations to the Social Insurance Organization of Freelance Professionals. However, in the years of the crisis he could not afford to pay for his contributions. The Court of First Instance of Rodopi suspended the enforcement of the registry invoice of the Center for the Collection of Social Security Arrears (ΚΕΑΟ), concerning the part that results in taking one or more compulsory measures of encashment or administrative measures for the coercion or securing the encashment of the debt of the petitioner at the expense of his primary residence in Komotini.
