Papageorgopoulos and Lemousias remain in Prison

Their petitions for suspended sentence were rejected by the Five-member Court of Appeals yesterday under a 4-1 vote for the case of Vasilis Papageorgopoulos (with the president being the minority) and a 5-0 for the case of Michalis Lemousias. The two sentenced for the embezzlement of 17,9 million euros in the Municipality of Thessaloniki have pinned their hopes on the Supreme Court of Greece, to which they have made a final appeal against the judgement of the Court of Appeals.
