Judges at the Court of Appeal avoid Patra

The issue of lack of judges in the specific court has caused serious problems in the trial of cases, taking into account the heavy workload on the dockets. Most judges that are promoted to Judges at the Court of Appeal avoid transfer to Patra courts on account of the heavy workload.

The President of the Supreme Court has been aware of this fact for at least three months, but has not been essentially motivated. On the other hand, it is known in legal circles of Patra that a great number of Judges at the Court of Appeal has been transferred to Aitoloakarnania in order to operate the Court of Appeal in Agrinio. As a result, many judiciary officials have been absorbed there.

Decisions for the issue in question are anticipated in June 2015 in accordance with the Supreme Court’s ruling and judiciary officials’ transfers.
