Since yesterday, Mr. Kostas Mangaris is no longer part of the administration of the Institute of Dairy Technology in Ioannina, to whom liabilities are attributed for the now publicly known serious bullying incidents that victimized the student Vaggelis Yakoumakis. His temporary replacement by Konstantinos Mallidis, who is assigned with duties at the Greek Agricultural Organization ‘Dimitra’, was decided during a meeting of the Board of Directors of the organization.

The extraordinary general meeting took place right after the conclusion of the Administrative Inquiry of the Ministry of Rural Development for the disappearance of the 20-year-old student. The resultant report is to be forwarded today to the supervisor of the Prosecution of Ioannina to examine whether there are any penal liabilities, while it has already been sent to the Alternate Minister of Rural Development Mr. Vaggelis Apostolou.

According to information, its content ‘burns’ the administration of the Institute of Dairy Technology. And that’s because the inquiry reveals several incidents of violence against missing Vaggelis, which had never been made known to the Department of Education or the Administrative Staff Department of the Institute. The administration of the Institute is also accused of political interventions in favor of a student from Crete. According to the report, the incidents of violence had been made known to the family of the 20-year-old and, in fact, the participation of a sociologist had been demanded. Also informed of the situation were some teachers and the school guard.

In the meantime, the police investigations continue in the prefecture of Ioannina in order to track down the 20-year-old and they focus on the lake shores. The fact that dozens of volunteers wish to participate in the investigations is moving, as well as people’s support to the family via the Facebook page created under the name Vaggelis Yakoumakis.
