The Ministry of Reconstruction of Production, Environment & Energy is going to review the permits granted to Hellas Gold. According to Deputy Minister of Environment Mr. Tsironis, a misdemeanor of legal nature in relation to the construction of the enrichment plant has already been located. In any case, the Ministry does not seem to pose the issue of revocation of the mining permit for the time being. Yesterday the issue of Hellas Gold dominated the first meeting of Mr. Yannis Tsironis with the journalists. As he explained, the ministry’s first goal is to check the legality of the mining permits and whether or not they are observed. In fact, he mentioned that based on a ‘photographic’ provision of the law 4280/14, a few steps in the process of granting the permit had been omitted, so that the activity approval is issued alongside the license of Revenue Authority.
