More specifically, under the decision 4/2015, the Magistrate’s Court of Lavrio settled the 55-year-old woman’s debts of 32,313€ to credit institutions for the next five years and excluded her main residence from being sold. Before reaching its decision the Magistrate’s Court of Lavrio took into account both the monthly living expenses of the 55-year-old and the 200€ that she must pay every month in order to commute from her home at Palaia Fokia of Attiki to her workplace at the center of Athens; it was concluded that the borrower was now unable to pay her debts to the banks. In the end, the Magistrate’s Court of Lavrio stipulated that the borrower should make monthly payments of 300€ for five years. After the five years pass, she will have to pay 50 more monthly installments of 287€ in order to save her house from being sold.
